In what-new-lows-can-we-sink-to news, a moment from a recent Senate hearing went viral on social media after a fight almost broke out between Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin and Teamster leader Sean O'Brien, before an angry Bernie Sanders stepped in to tell both men off.

The clip didn't go unnoticed by Stephen Colbert, who was quick to break out his best Sanders impression on The Late Show on Tuesday.

"Zip it!" yells Colbert, pointing wildly while imitating Sanders' voice. "Zip it, Bunsen Honeydew, sit down or I will come over there redistribute the top 10 percent of my fist in 99 percent of you face! I will split your lip like pea soup! Don't make me take off my mittens!"
