Wildly ridiculous shark movies seem to be coming back into fashion. Last month we had the trailer for No Way Up about a group of plane passengers trapped underwater by a circling shark, and this month we have even more toothy peril in Hayley Easton Street's Something in the Water.

In the clip above, five friends make the foolish mistake of taking a powerboat out to a tropical island with no phone signal. When one of them gets bitten while paddling, they have to make it back to land as quickly as possible — only for their boat to come a cropper on a coral reef. Cue a The Shallows-style attempt to make it to dry land before they all become lunch.

Hiftu Quasem, Lauren Lyle, Nicole Rieko Setsuko, Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart, and Natalie Mitson star.

Something in the Water is "coming soon" to theatres.
