If you're looking to invest in a new laptop and you have your eye on a MacBook Pro, you might also want to consider the very capable Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2. This model, which Microsoft has positioned as a viable alternative, boasts a lineup of interesting features that you may want to opt for over Apple's powerhouse, depending on your needs. One of those needs might be to save some cash, and you can do that right now given that this model is currently on sale.

As of Jan. 23, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 is on sale for $1,799.97, down from its normal price of $2,399.99. That's a savings of 25%, or $600 off, and the lowest price we've ever seen this laptop go for. This model boasts a 14.4-inch touchscreen, an Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD.

Mashable Tech Editor Kimberly Gedeon praised this laptop as a great option for users like professional artists "who'd benefit from using a display that tilts in an easel-like position for sketching and drawing." That's because this computer has a special design that lets you pull the display toward you and snap it into place to use as an easel or touchscreen device without the keyboard.

It's a great pick for anyone needing a leg up in terms of processing power or those who want a more accessible laptop that has both tactile and touch features. While it doesn't beat out the MacBook in terms of power or features, it's an easy enough buy when it's also more affordable.
