LOS ANGELES -- The Doctor is in.
Peter Capaldi, the actor behind the The Doctor in Doctor Who, will appear in a spinoff of the show.

It takes place at Coal Hill School in London, where four high school students Charlie (Greg Austin), April (Sophie Hopkins), Ram (Fady Elsayed) and Tanya (Vivian Oparah) have to deal with their own problems and the impending end of the world.
The series creator is YA author Patrick Ness, who is behind the popular novel A Monster Calls. He also serves as an executive producer alongside Doctor Who heads Steven Moffat and Brian Minchin.
It is set to debut on the small screen this fall, with the first two episodes dropping on BBC Three on Oct. 22.
