Apple's iPhone 14 and 15 now offer access to Verizon's roadside assistance service.

Spotted by MacRumors, Apple's updated support document shows that U.S.-based customers with a Verizon sim and a device running iOS 17.2 can connect to the network via satellite.

Verizon's 24/7 roadside assistance requires a $4.99 monthly subscription fee but Verizon customers get flat fees for pay-per-use. Services include towing (for up to 10 miles in a coverage area), tire change, battery jump start, fuel delivery, and more.

Apple already offers this service in partnership with AAA, helping drivers stay connected in emergency situations even without access to cellular service. The new Verizon feature will open up the service for more customers. Apple also recently expanded its Emergency SOS service, offering an additional year of free access to the feature for new iPhone 14 users.
